You’ve been doing your best to keep it all together, but lately it feels like anxiety is running the show. Maybe you thought this season of life would feel joyful, but instead you’re overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what you need. Many of the women I work with share a quiet exhaustion that doesn’t always show on the outside.

For some, it’s the ache of uncertainty in their fertility journey or the unexpected emotions that come after becoming a mom. For others, it’s a deep desire to feel confident and more connected to themselves again.

You’re ready to stop running on autopilot and start caring for yourself with the same compassion you offer everyone else. The truth is, it takes courage to pause and ask for help, but that courage is the first step toward healing and balance.

I offer therapy in Fairfield, CT, and virtually across Connecticut and New York, I help clients slow down, feel more empowered, and reconnect with themselves.

About Veronica Hopkins, LCSW, PMH-C

Anxiety Therapist in Fairfield, Connecticut

Hi, I’m Veronica Hopkins

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, private practice owner, and mom passionate about helping women create the lives they dream of and deserve.

Experiencing firsthand the transition into motherhood opened my eyes to the critical need for comprehensive and compassionate perinatal mental health care.

I’m deeply committed to supporting women as they navigate anxiety and the many challenges that arise throughout different stages of life. While I’ve worked with women for many years, my passion for this work grew even stronger after becoming a mother myself.

Life changes like pregnancy, new motherhood, or striving toward big goals can feel exciting but also overwhelming. I’ve been there. I share this with you because I want you to know that you are not alone, and that there is nothing inherently wrong with you.

My mission is to provide holistic, evidence-based support that empowers women to feel grounded, capable, and confident, no matter where they are on their journey.  I want every woman I work with to walk away with tools and insight that empower her to thrive through every stage of life.

I bring passion, clinical expertise, and personal understanding to my practice. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University in 2013, completing the advanced clinical track with a specialization in health, mental health, and disabilities. Since then, I’ve provided trauma-informed care across a variety of settings and I hold a certification in Perinatal Mental Health.

How I Work

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, client-centered, and empathetic. I see our work together as a partnership.

I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities to create an individualized plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.

I’m honored to offer a space where you can express what may feel difficult to share with others, even those closest to you. Whether that hesitation comes from fear of judgment or not feeling truly understood, together we’ll work toward helping you feel supported, empowered, and deeply seen. Every woman’s journey is unique, and having specialized support can make all the difference.

My Guiding Principles and Values as a Therapist

I know what it’s like to navigate anxiety, uncertainty, and self-doubt, and I hold those experiences close in how I show up for others. My values remind me daily that therapy isn’t about perfection, but about presence, connection, and growth. My work is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and respect for each person’s unique journey. I believe that therapy is most powerful when it feels collaborative and safe.

Compassion and Curiosity

I believe healing begins when we feel seen without judgment. At the heart of our work is the understanding that we all heal through connection.  I approach our work with openness and curiosity, inviting you to explore your story in new and compassionate ways.

Authenticity and Integrity

You are the expert in your own life.  I strive to show up as a genuine human beside you. Integrity means aligning what I say with how I show up, and holding the trust you place in me with care. I value honesty and openness and invite you to do the same, to show up as your authentic self, exactly where you are, not where you believe you “should” be.

Empowerment and Growth

I don’t believe that therapy is about “fixing” you.  I view healing as an ongoing journey of learning and self-discovery, as a process of reconnecting with your own strength, resilience, and intuition. I aim to create an environment where you feel empowered to make choices that align with who you truly are.
