Guiding high-achieving women managing stress and anxiety
Are you someone who sets high standards for yourself and achieves a lot but still feels like it’s never quite enough?
Do you struggle to celebrate your wins because you're already focused on the next goal or fearful that you’ll fall behind?
Do you find yourself constantly trying to do everything “right” and feeling deeply unsettled by the idea of making a mistake or being perceived as imperfect?
Do you worry all the time about your performance, your relationships, your future and doubt your own abilities even when others see you as competent and accomplished?
Are you experiencing anxiety or self-doubt in your work or personal relationships, wondering how others perceive you, fearing conflict, or feeling like you’re walking on eggshells?
Do you fear losing control, being judged, or not living up to expectations both your own and those of others?
How I can help
As a licensed clinical social worker, my goal is to provide you with a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can take the time to pause, reflect, and connect with your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Often, the stories we tell ourselves are shaped by fear and past negative experiences. In our work together, I will help you recognize when those thoughts are unrealistic, self-critical, or rooted in fear rather than fact.
Together, we’ll work to challenge those thoughts and shift them toward more compassionate, balanced, and truthful perspectives. With the hope that you will begin to see yourself through a more understanding lens, acknowledging your strengths, honoring your efforts, and loosening the grip of anxiety or self-doubt.
Through our work, you will also learn practical tools to help you stay grounded in the present moment. If you find yourself ruminating on the past or feeling consumed by “what if” scenarios about the future, I’ll guide you through mindfulness-based strategies that can reduce feeling overwhelmed and help you return to the present moment.
Another focus of our work may be identifying the need for setting and maintaining healthy personal boundaries. If you often feel drained in your relationships, struggle to say no, or worry about disappointing others, we’ll explore what it looks like to clarify your needs and honor your limits. I’ll support you in defining what respectful, reciprocal relationships mean to you and how to express those needs with greater confidence and clarity.
So many people are used to being hard on themselves, especially high achievers, but harsh inner criticism often creates more anxiety and less motivation. Another impactful element of therapy can be building a foundation of self-compassion. We will work on you learning how to speak to yourself with kindness, understand the value of rest and self-care, and reconnect with your worth as a whole, imperfect, growing human being.
You don’t have to do it alone; therapy offers a meaningful place to slow down, heal, and grow. Through secure Telehealth sessions, I work with women across New York and Connecticut, offering compassionate and evidenced based therapeutic services.
